Teacher and Administrator
Mrs. Vickery is co-founder of Libertas Academy established in 2001. A native of Tampa, she graduated from USF with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Mrs. Vickery has over 40 years of teaching experience that includes public and Christian schools and home-schooling. She has continued her education by attending and completing teacher training with the Association of Christian Schools International and the Association of Classical and Christian Schools. Mrs. Vickery has a passion for Christian education where God and His Son, Jesus, are presented to the students as the author of all knowledge and wisdom (Col. 2:3). She enthusiastically teaches intermediate and middle school students.
Pastor Adler has had a wide range of work experience from being a VP of a market research firm to being a certified tennis pro for the City of Temple Terrace. He was honored to win the “High School Tennis Coach of the Year” in 2012 and 2013. As an ordained Pastor, he has over 25 years of youth ministry experience.
Pastor Adler married his USF college sweet-heart, Karen, in 1987 and are both blessed to have Rachael as their daughter.
During chapel, Pastor Adler brings the Bible alive for our students and has organized mission-outreach, engaging our students to serve our local community and beyond.
Kindergarten & 1st Grade
Faith Stokes teaches Kindergarten, 1st Grade and Music at Libertas Academy. She is a graduate from Trinity College of Florida and has experience in teaching, training, instructing and directing. She has served as a Music Director in churches and taught music from preschool, elementary and middle school children to adults. She also teaches private music lessons for piano, voice, guitar and drums. She holds a passion for her students. She utilizes her musical talent to make learning and retaining phonics and math concepts a fun and hands-on experience.
2nd & 3rd Grade
After graduating from Trinity College of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Mrs. Odang taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade at Libertas Academy for 5 years. Mrs. Odang is married to Maikel and has 5 children. She home-schooled her children for three years ranging in grades from 4th-10th. Mrs. Odang loves teaching in the light of God’s word. This is her second year back at Libertas Academy.

Teacher aide and Tutor
Mrs. Morrison graduated from Elim Bible College with 2 majors, Christian Education and Missions. She later received her Bachelor of Elementary Education from Southeastern University. Mrs. Morrison has taught and tutored for over 35 years, the complete spectrum of ages, from 2 years to 6th grade, and in addition, high school substitute teaching. For the last four years, Mrs. Morrison has been tutoring and teaching part-time at Libertas Academy.

Middle School Math
Mr. Johnston graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Architecture. He has enjoyed teaching adult Sunday School classes at his home church for many years and for the last three years has taught Libertas Academy middle school students in Math and Science.
Mrs. Montero graduated from the University of Florida, B.A. and worked as a sales consultant and then as a store manager. Mrs. Montero, along with her husband and two children, is active in her church, serving in Women’s, Mission’s, Children’s ministries and most recently, teaching 5th and 6th grade girls in the Preteen Ministry. After owning her own photography business for several years, God led Mrs. Montero to her current position as the Administrative Assistant for Libertas Academy. A position which, while serving the students, families and staff here at Libertas, has brought her tremendous joy and fulfillment over the last four years.
Laurie Jewell has been the Art Teacher at Libertas Academy for over 10 years. She graduated first in her class from Garland Jr. College in Boston, a division of Simmons College, with an AS degree in Communications Design. In addition to teaching art at Libertas, Ms. Jewell also teaches at other private schools, homeschool groups, private lessons, and adult art classes. Prior to teaching, Ms. Jewell has worked as a Visual Manager at various Department stores in Massachusetts and Florida doing Visual Merchandising. She is a painter and illustrator and recently illustrated a book called “Archie, the Lucky Duck”.
4th - 5th Grade Teacher
Cindy was born and raised in Miami, Fl. Cindy has always aspired to be a teacher. She attended Palm Beach Atlantic University, then transferred to Florida Memorial University graduating with her Bachelor’s in English Education. She has taught in different schools across Hillsborough County. She is a believer in Jesus Christ and believes with Him -all things are possible (Mat 19:26) Her hope as a teacher is to encourage, teach the love of Jesus, and impact the lives of people she meets.
